Descripción: You will be responsible for repairing defective hardware such as printers, laptops, desktops, workstations, servers and related peripherals. Responsible for installation and support of network equipment and active directory for Spain. Ensure that data is backed up and secure.The suitable candidate must be able tol:* Identifies and repairs hardware or physical failures within printers, laptops, desktop, workstations and servers and their associated peripherals. * Configures and deploys new computers for the end users of Acuity Brands Lighting. * Adds, moves, or makes changes to peripheral devices set up on the Acuity network. * Ensure data is backed up and secured. Able to restore data as needed.* Ensure the processes and policies of IST are followed.* When computers or printers fail, provide support for installing needed software. This is done using personal knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and previous training or working hand in hand with the frontline support group.* Identification of new ways to improve processes. This is facilitated by sharing ideas with co-workers when a particular aspect of the operation isn't working in the most efficient manner. Kaizens or the 5s system would be the primary avenue for making the needed changes.* Configures, installs, and troubleshoots Cisco VOIP phones. This is done by using the Cisco phone management software for configurations and VOIP or networking knowledge to resolve phone issues. * Stay up to date on new technology and equipment that is introduced to the marketplace. Continuing education outside the company if needed. Perfil buscado (Hombre / Mujer): - Technical or Associates Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Network Infrastructure Training.- Good level o English is a must.2 - 4 years plus the education listed below:- A+, Net+,Microsoft Certified Professional, any Hardware Manufacturer's certifications. Proven experience in printer, laptop and desktop repairs. Demonstrated knowledge in networking essentials. Proven history of successfully supporting Microsoft operating systems and the Office family.
