MV/HV Manager We are now helping our client hire for a MV/HV Substation Manager, this will be a 1 year fixed contract (x2, 6 month options to extend), based in Denmark with travel to the UK, 6-8 travelling days/months are expected (3-4 days every second week in UK). (Onshore) Duration of Service: 12 months contract Key responsibilities & tasks Responsibilities: * Ensure that the project is on time and that deliveries and quality are within the scope * Ensure that the technical departments' best practices are implemented * Participate in project team meetings and cross discipline cooperation Tasks * Agree scope of work and responsibilities within the HV/MV project * Prepare Employer's Requirements for ITT and contracts for HV/MV components * Plan and execute peer reviews according to applicable guidelines * Evaluate tenders and support in clarification meetings with suppliers * Prepare, update and archive technical and commercial documentation related to the scope * Follow up on progress and results from suppliers in a timely manner so that any challenges can be tackled in due time * Ensure QC of deliveries * Responsible for all FATs and SATs of HV/MV components * Identify interfaces and handle them in cooperation with the rest of the team * Prepare documents and perform QA by signing in 'prepared' * Review documents and perform QA by signing in 'accepted' when relevant in HV/MV project * Provide input to various reports and controlling as required by the electrical manager * Take proactive actions to reduce safety risks * Understand and manage interfaces for the electrical works towards other project packages as well as towards suppliers * Head the technical part of procurement process and participate in the commercial part together with electrical manager and procurement responsible * Head project meetings with suppliers within the HV/MV scope * Negotiate variations of contracts together with the procurement responsible * Contribute actively to evaluation of the project and capture lessons learnt throughout the project * Contribute to planning of site supervision and commissioning organisation * Participate in Design Review of new HV/MV equipment Qualifications * Practical as well as theoretical experience within electrical HV/MV components in onshore/offshore substations * Possesses the skills of a good project engineer (technically skilled, integrity, communication, adaptability, teamwork, decision-making and planning) * Experience with Energy-related IT tools and procedures Preferred * 220kV and 400kV Harmonic filters * 400kV GIS * Experience with national grid UK
