Payroll Specialist needed for a role at HQ in White Plains, NY As part of a 3-person payroll team, using ADP Workforce Now, you will be responsible for running 4 very complex bi-weekly payrolls for approximately 1700 exempt and non-exempt employees across 50+ locations. You will: * Ensure the accuracy of all classifications / codes, withholdings and deductions; * Review payroll documentation for accuracy including communicating with HR regarding data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and rate changes; * Manage taxable fringe benefits administration i.e. group term life insurance, monthly parking, and HSA reporting; * Research and resolve questions as they relate to the processing of payroll information (i.e. garnishments, employment verifications, workers compensation, tax questions); * Assist employees with questions about payroll policies and pay discrepancies; and * Process special payrolls (i.e. annual bonus, year-end adjustment) and run manual checks as requested. Additionally, you will: * Maintain payroll related files and records; * Lead unemployment claims administration and respond to claims filed; * Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments; and * Prepare various payroll and management reports, journal entries, workers compensation and reconcile quarterly payroll taxes. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Strategy Development * Development of complex sub-commodity strategies with limited oversight - significant contribution to commodity level strategy development * Ability to understand and apply impact of business level strategies * Cooperative development of strategies with balance of enterprise and suppliers * Understanding of more advanced market influences (forecast of indices, labor, geopolitical, emerging markets, etc.) with integration into strategies * Demonstrated ability to develop supplier strategies aimed at the development of a long-term viable supply base Strategy Deployment * Demonstrated ability to manage medium/complex projects containing unknowns and risks requiring quick adjustment to planning and activity to ensure goals are achieved.
