About the role: We are representing a number of prestigious automotive dealerships across Sydney who are looking for experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic qualified Automotive Mechanics. Automotive Mechanic work on traditional mechanical components, such as engines, transmissions, and drive belts. However, they also must be familiar with a growing number of electronic systems. Braking, transmission, and steering systems, for example, are controlled primarily by computers and electronic components. Other integrated electronic systems, such as accident-avoidance sensors, are becoming common as well. In addition, a growing number of technicians are required to work on vehicles that run on alternative fuels, such as ethanol and electricity. Automotive Mechanic use many different tools, including computerized diagnostic tools and power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding torches, and jacks and hoists. These tools usually are owned by their employers. Automotive Mechanic also use many common hand tools, such as sockets and ratchets, wrenches, and pliers. These tools generally are owned by service technicians. In fact, experienced workers often have thousands of dollars invested in their personal tool collection. The prime responsibilities of Automotive Mechanic are: * Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly * Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment * Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined * Test and lubricate the vehicle's engine and other major components * Perform basic care and maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, and tire rotations * Participate in training programs to raise knowledge of product, procedures, responsibilities, and licensing requirements * Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective * Explain to clients their automotive problems and the repairs done on their vehicles * Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately * Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade * Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity * Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use * Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues * Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job * Keep logs on work and issues * Maintain equipment and tools in good condition Qualifications and Experience: * Years of Experience: 2 -3 years of relevant practical professional experience * Education: Diploma level in Auto mechanics Other Skills/Knowledge: * Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles * Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods * Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment * Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals * Excellent physical condition Our clients are open to discussing applicants with the relevant experience who require a 457-visa - please feel free to apply and your application will be evaluated against the position description

The Role We are currently looking to engage a Senior Oracle Applications DBA, to immediately join our Managed Services DBA team based in Hyderabad, India, working 6am-3pm IST hours. The team in Hyderabad supports our clients in Australia and New Zealand. He would provide exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical Oracle EBS applications and SOA Middleware as part of our global customer support team. Responsibilities Your responsibilities will vary, but always with a focus on delivering practical commercially viable solutions that meet the needs of both the Customer and Red Rock. You will have relevant experience in the following: * Minimum 10 years relevant Oracle EBS Applications DBA and Middleware experience. * Expertise in all major versions of technology stack including Database, iAS, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, Enterprise Manager, SOA, WebLogic and JVM. * Hands-on operational expertise as a core Oracle DBA, with technology including RAC, ASM, Dataguard, High Availability and Backup/Recovery. * Expertise with Oracle EBS R12, including 12.2.4 Applications and online patching, configuration and administration of the application. * Working knowledge of SSO, OID, and Microsoft AD, Oracle Identify Management Suite 11g * Design and implementation of various Oracle backup/recovery strategies. * Knowledge of various storage technologies used for backup solutions (NetApp, SVC) is an advantage. * Linux/Unix, Shell, Perl and CMD/Batch Windows scripting. * Performance tuning of Oracle Databases and Oracle Applications * Exadata as well as Apex experience is an advantage. * Excellent Time management skills and an ability to work under pressure.
