About the Role Some experience in bench top polishing/fabrication or monumental stonemasonry preferred. Training is available. Our client is seeking a self-motivated and quality focused team member willing to learn and develop and grow with the business in the long term. You will be working on a variety of challenging and interesting products and projects. Key responsibilities include: * Workshop based, crafting bespoke products based on supplied templates and plans * Skilled fabrication, shaping & polishing * Proficiency in the use of workshop equipment and consumable products To be successful in this role you must have the following: * An ability to get on with co-workers and become a strong, dependable part of the team * Care about the health & safety of yourself and your colleagues * Prefer experience in stonemasonry or bench top polishing/fabrication * Prefer experience in reading plans and good numerical skills * High standard of workmanship and pride in your work * Self-motivation and a good level of strength and fitness. You will also have the ability to complete your own cutting and then assembly prior to welding. You will have relevant qualifications in Engineering and Heavy Fabrication as well as Welding. * You must be competent in MIG and Stick welders, saws, brake press, guillotine, rolls, drills, grinders, punch and shear machines, overhead gantry cranes etc. * You will be competent using general hand tools, drills, disc grinders etc. * Have relevant fabrication skills in steel cutting, setting out, welding, gas cutting, grinding. * You will have the ability to read engineering drawings and have basic drawing skills. * You will be comfortable with heights, confined spaces and elevated work platforms.
